Rhythm & Rest Yoga Series
with Sofia Araujo
When: Every Wednesday: Sept. 23rd- Oct 21st 2026 5.30pm-7.30pm (Lisbon Time)
Investment: € 108

This five-week series explores the relationship between the body, the nervous system, and women's health through the practices of Yin Yoga and somatic awareness.

Many women arrive here after years of exploring different approaches—collecting techniques, following new methods, trying to stay consistent, and yet feeling as though something has become fragmented. Motivation comes and goes. Energy changes with the seasons and with different stages of life. The practices that once felt nourishing no longer meet the body in the same way. Rather than adding something new, this series offers space to return to what is already present.

Over five weeks we'll explore the relationship between the body, the nervous system, and women's health through Yin Yoga and somatic practice.

Each session follows a gentle rhythm of movement, observation, anatomy, reflection, and rest. We bring together traditional yoga practices with contemporary understanding of the nervous system and women's physiology, allowing knowledge to emerge through experience rather than accumulation.

Together we'll explore topics such as fascia, breath, nervous system regulation, pelvic health, hormonal transitions, and the body's natural rhythms—not as separate subjects, but as interconnected aspects of embodied practice.

Designed for women of all ages, this series welcomes anyone interested in cultivating a practice that feels responsive to the body they have today.

The Psoas & Vagus Workshop
with Sofia Araujo
When: Saturday, October 17th 2026 9am-12pm (Lisbon Time)
Investment: € 35

Exploring Tone, Breath & Embodied Awareness

The psoas is often described as the body's deepest muscle, but its role extends far beyond movement or posture. Through its close relationship with the diaphragm, spine, and nervous system, the psoas reflects how we organise ourselves in gravity, respond to stress, and experience safety, effort, and ease.

Likewise, the vagus nerve plays a central role in regulating our internal state. Rather than thinking of the vagus nerve as something to "activate" or the psoas as something to "release," this workshop explores how both are expressions of tone: the dynamic balance between tension and ease that allows the body to adapt, breathe, and move efficiently.

In this practical workshop, we will approach the body through direct experience rather than theory alone. Together we will explore how to locate and sense the psoas through movement, breath, and guided awareness. Using carefully selected yoga postures, somatic practices, and breathing techniques, we will notice where effort is being held, where movement becomes available, and how changes in breathing influence muscular tone throughout the body.

Rather than chasing flexibility or relaxation, this workshop develops the ability to perceive the body's subtle patterns and understand how they shift in response to attention, movement, and respiration.

What you will learn:

  • The anatomy and function of the psoas beyond stretching and strengthening
  • The relationship between psoas tone, diaphragm movement, and vagal regulation
  • How breath influences muscular tone and postural organisation
  • Practices to locate and sense the psoas from within
  • Yoga postures that explore support, release, and efficient movement
  • Somatic awareness exercises for recognising habitual holding patterns
  • Breath practices that encourage greater adaptability rather than force

This workshop is suitable for yoga practitioners, teachers, movement professionals, and anyone interested in understanding the body through experience. You will leave with a deeper appreciation of how breath, posture, and nervous system regulation work together—and practical tools you can immediately integrate into your own practice and teaching.
