Agni, or the digestive fire, is mainly the digestive enzymes and metabolic processes that make digestion possible. Health in Ayurveda is measured by the effectiveness of the digestive fire because digestion is fundamental on a physical, mental and emotional level. This workshop will teach the fundamental principles of Ayurveda to access your metabolic type and create strategies through movement and lifestyle for better energy levels and mental clarity.
A 90-minute invigorating yoga practice directed at the core of the body followed by 30-min yin yoga to integrate the effects and changes on a somatic level.
Often taught as a male practice, Yoga with it´s flexible Nature, can be adapted to the feminine body and her inherent biorhythms. This workshop focuses on the needs of woman´s body throughout her menstrual cycle and how to cultivate practices that support it as well as release some of the most common PMS symptoms.
Topics includes: How the 5 Elements of Nature are part of woman´s life; How to attune your yoga practice to your menstrual cycle; Postures and meditations to minimise and prevent lower back pain, mood swings and cravings before and during menstruation; Foods than enhance the feminine biorhythms and hormonal balance; Creative exercises to connect with women´s natural wisdom, sensuality and nourishing abilities; Practical tools that you can integrate on and off the mat for higher levels of energy, connection and wellbeing.
This is a full-day workshop ( 6 hours) with 1 hour lunch break, make sure you have your tea cup full and everything you need for the day.
